United Way FY18/19 Allocations
What: this is a citizen review process where volunteers make funding recommendations for nonprofit health and human services programs in Mesa County making an impact in the area of United Way’s focal areas of Health, Self-Reliance and Education. This is an opportunity for community members to learn more about community needs, stewardship and evaluation. Volunteers make funding recommendations which then go to United Way’s Board of Directors for Approval.  Volunteers will attend training and meetings, read applications and go on site visits. This is a great opportunity to learn more about a funding applications (grants), even if at a United Way funded agency employees can be a part of this program (we’ll place where there are no conflicts of interest).
When: will run late February through April, training is provided for new volunteers and continuing volunteers.
How to sign up: please  email Abby at abby@uwmesacounty.org and ask for a Conflict of Interest form to sign up
