Heartbeat of Grand Junction holds monthly meetings on the 3rd Tuesday of each month from 7 - 9:00 pm at the First Congregational Church, 1425 N. 5th Street in GJ.  The purpose of the meetings is to provide support for those who have lost a loved one through suicide.  Heartbeat was organized to help survivors to absorb the impact of the self-inflicted death; to offer comfort, understanding and acceptance; and to support each other toward healthy resolution to the grief.  Meetings are open to all who have lost a friend or loved one to suicide.

We also hold an informal social gathering on the 2nd Saturday of each month at 1:30 pm at Trader's Coffee,  2648 Patterson Rd.

Rocky Mountain Health Foundation Announces 2020 Grant Opportunities

Rocky Mountain Health Foundation announces two funding cycle deadlines for 2020:  1/10/2020 and 7/2/2020.  It is anticipated that $1.5M will be distributed for general operating and program grants to nonprofit organizations who have both programmatic services and personnel residing primarily in one of the 22 Western Slope counties.

Grants will be awarded to organizations and programs that address basic needs, access to and affordability of healthcare, and community-based health projects.

To apply, visit rmhealth.org.  For each grant cycle, RMHF’s Grant Committee will review, select grantees, and make funding recommendations to the Board of Directors for approval.

Prospective grant applicants may inquire with questions to Kim Lewis, Program Officer, at 970-697-1038 or [email protected].
